Pieter Hendrikse is CEO of JLL Netherlands, responsible for strategic direction, business growth and operational execution across the firm's Dutch real estate services.
Under Pieter’s leadership, JLL Netherlands integrates market expertise, data-driven insights and collaborative solutions to provide best-in-class services to clients.
Pieter joined JLL in 2017, bringing extensive leadership experience in real estate investment, asset management and institutional capital markets. Previously, he served as CEO of EMEA at ING Real Estate and later CBRE Global Investors, overseeing the development and expansion of institutional investments in unlisted securities and real estate funds. During his tenure from 1999 to 2016, he managed an investment portfolio of €40 billion, significantly growing the firm’s presence in Europe.
He is also a co-founder of INREV, the leading global investment association for unlisted real estate, where he played a pivotal role in shaping industry standards and market transparency. In recognition of his contributions, Pieter was named Real Estate Man of the Year in 2012.
Pieter’s career began in law, having earned a degree in Notarial Law from Utrecht University. He started as a candidate civil-law notary in The Hague in 1993 before transitioning to corporate law and asset management at MN in 1996, where he became head of residential investment. Between 1997 and 1999, he completed a postgraduate master’s degree in real estate at the University of Amsterdam.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Pieter is actively involved in film production, education and historical initiatives. He served as Chairman of the Foundation for the Dutch film, The Forgotten Battle, was an advisor and co-producer of Weg Van Jou, and currently chairs the 80 Years of Freedom Foundation in Zeeland, where he leads efforts to create a docudrama, as well as a youth freedom conference inspired by Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms.
An avid sports enthusiast, Pieter enjoys tennis, attending sporting events and has been a dedicated Formula 1 Grand Prix fan for over 40 years. He is also passionate about spatial and coastal planning in the Netherlands.
